GED/Equivalent

 

1. How much does the GED cost?
The following information is the standard fees. Fees may be waived or decreased depending on the program in which you are in, and your personal situation. Talk to a program director for more information.
The GED test is $50.00 ($10.00 for each test) and must be paid before testing begins. Retest fees are also $10.00 for each test.

2. Are there websites I can visit to help prepare for the test?
a. There are many websites providing practice tests and online courses, most of which charge fees for accessing the information. You can go to a search engine, keyword: GED or visit these sites: http://www.acenet.edu/calec/ged/ , www.GEDpractice.com, or www.passged.com which offers preparation tests, online courses, practice tests and lesson plans.

3. What if I don't pass?
If you don’t pass, you can take individual tests up to 3 times per year. However, all five tests must be taken once before individual tests can be retaken. Just as the first time testing, re-testing will cost $10.00 per subject.
