Personal approach

1. Any helpful hints when meeting employers?
Address each person as they are introduced, smile and make eye contact. Try to avoid saying "uh" or "you know" and other slang. Allow yourself to laugh and nod to interact with the employers. Most of all, if you make a mistake, don't panic. Stay calm and perhaps apologize and explain how you are nervous being in ther interview; then start again.

2. When should I call?
Call if you haven't heard from the employer within the time frame they gave you at the interview or if it has been a week since the interview. A friendly phone call lets the employer know they are important to you and it will remind them of you. Also ask if they have an idea when follow-up procedures will happen so you can refrain from calling and pestering them.
