Job expectations

1. What if my employer doesn't have any written policies?
The person who hired you should then explain to you what their policies are. This person should also tell you who is the appropriate person to ask questions to and who handles human resource affairs for future reference.

2. What if I feel like I am being unfairly treated?
You should find out what procedures your employer expects all employees to follow when it comes to expressing a concern. If you do not feel comfortable expressing the concern within the company or you think the employer has violated your employee rights, you can seek out assistance from the Seattle Human Rights Commission or the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Keep records of all acts of harassment or discrimination, of all reports you make to supervisors, and your supervisors' responses.
