Taxes

1. What information will I be asked on my tax form?
You will be asked your name and mailing address, your social security number, your number of exemptions, your income and the total tax you paid last year. If you paid more than you should have, you will get a refund sent to you or deposited into your bank account. If you paid less, you must pay the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) by April 15th.

2. What kinds of tax deductions might I qualify for?
There are a number of deductions you may qualify for that would reduce the total amount of taxes you owe the government. They include costs paid toward tuition, earned income credit if you have children, a child tax credit, an adoption credit if you adopted a child in the past year and credits for military service or disability status.
